A.A. Call prevailed upon the railroad to name the town Bancroft, after
historian and diplomat, George Bancroft. Bancroft prides
itself on not only having strong business retail and service medical
facilities and manufacturing and agricultural industries.
Bancroft is proud of its educational programs, safe
environment, and varied recreational activities for all ages.
Bancroft has a small-town atmosphere with large town facilities.
